MoreNiche introduces Split Commission Technology

MoreNiche has done it again! Now what does Split Commission Technology means?

It simply means that all people involved in getting the customer to buy a product gets a piece of the pie.

Example: Potential buyer wants to buy diet pills. Potential buyer goes to look for more information and reviews of diet pills. Potential buyer visits my site and clicked on my affiliate link. But potential buyer decided not to buy today but goes on to other sites to look for more information, goes to John's and Ben's review site. And finally, potential buyer bought the diet pill.

Result : I get $$$ because I introduced the customer first, and so too the other affiliate like John and Ben. Of course Ben has a bigger piece of the pie since he closes the sale.

Now, there's a possibility the buyer might take months, maybe years before deciding to buy the product but it does not matter since MoreNiche offers lifetime cookies, which simply means you still get commissions for it.

Election Sibu 2010

With the election happening at Sibu this weekend, town's pretty crowded. Very crowded. Kinda irritated with it, since most roads are pretty packed at most time. Wish it would be over soon and life can continue as usual ...

AXN Floater glider

Maidened this plane last week. Hell, this is sure a keeper. It flies nice and glides around, motor off. Managed to fly around 15 minutes before I landed it for fear my old lipo pack couln't take it. Below are in flight video taken with my new pen spy cam, enjoy!

Sidenote : Hmmmm ... maybe I need an aeroplane gyro to stabilise the plane later, video's kinda twitchy, gotta soften it a bit.

Farewell Aki Nundu and Rimau ... I'll miss you two!

RIP
Penghulu Ampi Anak Penghulu Pilang
(1923-2009)

Last month was really a bad month for me. My grandfather passed away. A week after that, one of my cat went too. Really, it was kinda depressing.

Gramps passed away on the 6th September 2009. It was Sunday, around 6 pm something. I was asleep at that time, awoken upon hearing the cries of my family members, I rushed downstairs to check and there he was, laying lifeless on his bed, gone already.

I did took a few moments to calm myself and went outside the house for a smoke, wondering if it was a bad dream or not. But nope, it was all real and true. My minds were kinda empty, my eyes blank and staring. After finishing my cigarette outside the house, I quickly went back in to check and help them do the preparations.

To cut the story short, the next few days was very busy, tiring and hectic. Many family members came, as well as others, friends and relatives who knew my grandfather. He was a Penghulu back then, as well as his father too. Having served the people for almost 30 year, surely he has made many connections and befriended various people.

I will always love and miss you, aki. Farewell, may God bless your soul ...

Weakness of Trex 450 SE V2

If there's one thing I hate about the Trex 450 SE V2, it's the 2 stacked frame design. The bottom frame is kinda fragile, already broke few.

New r/c gadget coming soon - FMA Direct CO Pilot 2

Ordered this heli and plane stabilisation kit from the US, should be arriving here soon. Can't wait to test it on my heli :)

Planning to put this on my future big heli, nice to know if you screw up in flight (dumb thumb moments), you can save your expensive heli from crashing by using this device as it will recover your heli back into a level flight, thus giving you a chance to save it.

Priced under $250, this kit is definetely cheaper than other heli stabilisation kit available in the market now such as expensive Helicommand, priced around $500+ >_<". I will be testing this on my 450 heli platform and write down my review afterwards, so be sure to checkout my site again later to read it.
For more info, click this offici
al FMA direct link to read more about this amazing gadget.

Leverage

Been following a lot of tv shows over the years. And to tell you the truth, I stop following lots due to the show going sour, astray, repetitions etc. The show writer's strike last year might have affected and contributed to the derailment of a lot of the tv shows.

I still follow some shows like Supernatural, Hustle and few others. Heroes and Prison Break got ditched from my viewing list a long time ago (they should rename the title "Prison break" into "Prison Break Specialist".

Anyway, this March a new show is showing at my fav channel AXN and it's called Leverage. The cast line up is pretty good, featuring the likes of Timothy Hutton and a few others.

Yeah, I know that this show is like already shown last year on December on other TV networks and already pass it's first season but thing is, I need more shows on tv to kill my time while I'm working on my laptop and stuffs. Otherwise it gets boring, good tv shows are kinda rare these days.

Final thoughts. I just hope this show is not a direct copy of "Hustle", shown in BBC1 last time. We all know how Americans "like" Brits so much eh ;) and how they love to have their own version of anything good. This better be a good copy ...

X-Men Origins: Wolverine

Spent some time watching this movie just now. Not bad, especially when you get to see your childhood hero being turned into the big screen.

Origins explains the early history part of Wolverine, that tells us how and why he becomes the Wolverine that we love to see but don't know much about his dark past.

The story starts with James Logan aka Wolverine and his brother Victor Creed aka Sabretooth running away together as children in the mid 1850's after Logan accidentally kills their biological father who had murdered Logan's step father. After that, both of them served together in many wars and takes care of each other. If you're wondering why they don't age, it's because of their super healing abilities, most probably came with their other mutant powers.

After wandering here and there for a while, they are recruited by Major William Stryker to serve in a special military unit made up of mutants. Logan quits the special unit after the team wipes out a whole African village in search of a special metal and then goes off to live a quite life of peace in the Canadian Rockies with his school teacher girlfriend. She was actually a mutant called Silver Fox but Wolverine doesn't know that.

Wolverine and Silver Fox lives a quite live for 6 years when suddenly Major Stryker shows up in their lives and asks Logan to come back and be a part of a new project called Weapon X. Logan refuses the offer but when Creed shows up and murders her girlfriend he agrees.

Logan accepts the offer to be infused with Adamantium so that he can be indestructable and go after his revenge but is double crossed by Stryker and hears him give the order to wipe his memories. Escaping before this can happen, he goes searching for Creed killing anyone who gets in his way.

The best part in the movie would be the adamantium process. In Marvel Universe, adamantium is a special metal that cannot be destroyed in any way. Wolverine, having himself infused with it, becomes the ultimate indestructable weapon. His ability to heal himself rapidly helps a lot during the infusion process.

Sabretooth was played by Liev Schreiber, which manages to impress me with good acting and definetely good performance, to some extent even shadowing Hugh Jackman himself. His perfomance in the movie, Der Untergang aka Hitler : The rise of evil was also one of the best I've seen so far. If you haven't watched that one, you'd better. It's a good movie too.

May the new year brings prosperity and good luck to all of us. New challenges awaits ...

Sibu R/C flyers New Year Eve night fly event

Went to cover my r/c buddies night flying event today, on the eve of the new year. Lotsa spectators watching us as we tear the dark skies with our LED-filled slow fliers. I was gonna bring my profile depron F22 but after thinking that I might fly it to the mighty Rajang river due to my inexperience in night flying, I canceled and brought my camera equipment instead.

Martin, Desmond, Kong and others preparing their planes for night flying.

The star of the night : LED R/C kite. Very, very bright indeed.

Alert : Fake carbon fiber helicopter blade on sale

Watch out when buying CF heli blades, a friend discovered this when he broke his. Bought it at Hong Kong. The outer surface feels and looks like real carbon fiber weave, but its actually a sticker pattern imprinted on the blade surface. Inside is filled with foam like material and strengthened by a piece of CF tube.

Cheap alternative but deadly. Imagine those blades breaking in mid flight and flying towards your eyes ...

A new gadget

Bought a new gadget, Nikon D60. Got it around 2.2k. My package comes with a D60 body and one basic lens, one free bag, tripod, 2 piece of 2GB SD card, lens cleaning kit and lens filter.

Overall, I'm impressed. Pictures taken with this camera looks nice too. Looking forward to get a better lens soon, maybe a good telephoto lens for me to zoom in farther.

See below for some sample pictures I've taken.

More updates soon, stay tuned.

School holiday again ...

Yep, it's the school holiday again here.

-Sigh-

Original plan was to maybe fully enjoy my holiday by resting my mind abit, but so many side project burdens me at this moment. Especially on my niche sites and my recently opened r/c hobby shop.

Christmas is coming soon too. No idea on what I'm gonna get this year. Presents, presents, presents ... most important package surely for my GF at UK. Can't send late, for fear it won't reach UK on time. Others can be a lil late I guess, since it's all local here.

Owh well, that's all for today. I'll jot down a few more when I have the time later, chow.

My new pilot

Say hello to Koenig :P

P/S : Looks similar like Hitler lah you, maybe his cousin kot? Mwhahahahaha ...

Old hobby never dies ...

So okay, after quiting remote controlled r/c powerboats three years ago, this year I'm back again in the scene.

This time, the sky's the limit!

This year, I have acquired the following r/c helicopters and r/c planes.

- Align Trex 450 SE V2 helicopter

- Honey Bee King 2 or HBK2 heli, equipped with Bell 222 fuselage

- Misubishi Zero Fighter r/c plane

- SAPAC T45 Goshawk ducted jet (Foam version)

And lastly, my remote control transmitter, as always, from Futaba. I have been using Futaba stuffs back then with good results. Reliable, rugged and tough. The only thing is the price.

This Futaba T7C 2.4GHz is quite new on the market, hence the price is still high. I bought it around March for RM1k ++. Expensive but I'm satisfied anyway, all the features and programming made easy. And being 2.4GHz, say bye bye to glitches.

Oh yeah, I have also launched a new r/c forum at Borneorc.com. This forum is to cater all r/c enthusiast from all over Sarawak and Sabah. Hence, the borneo name there. If you are into r/c stuffs, don't forget to check out the forum.

Iron Man review

Was watching Iron Man The Movie just now. All I can tell that the movie was quite impressive, laden with special effects and gripping storyline.

For those in the dark about who is Iron Man, here is some info. Iron Man was a popular comic book character in the Marvel Comics Universe. His name was Tony Stark, head of weapons manufacturing company called Stark Industries. He was a successful businessman, dealing mainly with genius weapons designs and gadgets. He was a genius inventor, graduating top in his class at MIT and the heir to his dad's company. Both of his parent perished in a car crash.

The movie version was a bit different from the original comic version that I use to read when I was a kid. Instead of being an anti-communist and fighting Vietnamese agents (Hey, it was vietnam war back then) in the movie they changed it to pre Gulf War era. Robert Downey Jr. was given the role of Iron Man in this movie, and believe me, he's damm funny in the movie, good job there ;)

Okay okay, no no no I won't spoil the story for you guys out there. Better go watch the movie for yourself. This is one of the most anticipated movie of 2008 and it's worth your money, seriously.

I'd give it a rating of 9 out 10.

Next incoming movie review, the sequel to the Indiana Jones series ... stay tuned!

Maybank introduces the Maybankard Visa Debit

Excerpt from Maybank's official site,

http://www.maybank2u.com.my/consumer/online_cards/visa_debit/about.shtml

Owners of Maybank savings or current account aged eighteen (18) years of age and in full legal capacity to manage the card account can apply to use this card. To get it, just visit the nearest Maybank branch near you. If you are a new customer, open up a savings or current account and opt for the Maybankard Visa Debit when you fill in the application form. The cost for the card will be around RM12 for new customer. For existing current and savings account customers, they can apply for the brand new Maybankard Visa Debit, free of charge.

One question. I wonder if we can connect PayPal to this account? If it is possible, then say goodbye to my other debit card account since I prefer to use Maybank's services instead, they have been very very reliable for me, and I like that.
